Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Dr. Thompson earned his B.A. in Chemistry from the University of South Florida and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2001.
Early in his career, Dr. Thompson founded and directed the Haywood County Dental Clinic in North Carolina, where he provided essential dental care to underserved children and elderly populations. He also served as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and was an advisory board member for Head Start. In 2005, he returned to the Tampa area to establish a practice built on advanced dentistry, patient relationships, and long-term care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his wife Tammy and their two children, Raegan and Cooper. His personal interests include hiking, skiing, travel, and playing guitar.
